In Dormagen, uct operates its own port facility on the Rhine in the port of Stürzelberg, which has served as a mooring and transshipment point since the beginning of the 19th century. Today, the optimally developed area meets all the requirements of a modern trimodal terminal. The quay, which is over 540 metres long, offers sufficient space to handle several ships simultaneously. At low tide, two inland waterway vessels can lie next to each other, which considerably accelerates the loading of goods from ship to ship.
Two railway tracks also ensure seamless handling between rail and ship. Extensive loading facilities, industrial trucks and generous storage capacities fulfil all the requirements of a modern and efficient transshipment centre.
